Change Dixie Website

I started this project to spread information about my undergrad school's name, “Dixie”, and its ties to the Antebellum South. The goal was to encourage Southern Utah residents to engage in the discussion around renaming Dixie State University. I was for the change.

The website shows newspapers, yearbooks, and articles that connect the University to the Confederacy. I found that much of this information wasn't widely known, and invited the community to consider stepping away from these connections and consider change.
